Are you coming to Alghero for three days for Easter 2025?
In addition to the spring climate and the sea, you will also have the opportunity to live an extraordinary food and wine experience, following the ancient rites of the Holy Week full of pathos and suggestions in contact with nature.
First day - Alghero
Fit during the holidays
We begin the first of our 3-day itineraries by taking a guided kayak excursion along the coast of Alghero or alternatively renting an e-bike to go to the Capo Caccia park and to the Neptune caves.
All to visit the Coral Riviera from a different perspective and relieve the stress accumulated throughout the winter.
A mandatory stop for lunch is the Ballarini foccacceria in Fertilia to taste the Sardinian focaccia filled by "Nonna Pia".
Visits to wineries
After lunch and after a siesta on the Bombarde beach, at 5.00 pm, don't miss the free visit to the Sella & Mosca winery, the most famous in Sardinia, experiencing new sensations by tasting the best wines of the island or taking a tour of the historic center of Alghero with wine tasting.
Holy Week rites in Alghero and typical dinner in the center
In the evening illuminated only by torches, in the historic center of Alghero, you can see the evocative processions with the ancient costumes worn by the faithful of the brotherhoods which cloak the unfolding of each celebration with emotional tension and mystery.
Many restaurants offer Easter cuisine menus in Sardinia. Dishes not to be missed are certainly Catalan lobster and Alghero paella.
Second day - Castelsardo
Nature excursion
Start the day by taking advantage of the Easter holidays to do outdoor sports - Sardinia offers you a magnificent outdoor gym - or to go on a horseback excursion to Porto Ferro and Lake Baratz in Alghero.
Walking in the medieval village
In the afternoon, just 60 kilometers north of Alghero, in the enchanting Castelsardo, you can witness an ancient and fascinating ritual, full of mysticism: by the light of lit torches, the Mysteries parade, carried by brothers and sisters dressed in white tunics and hood.
At dinner a stone's throw from the castle
Stay in the town until the evening to take the opportunity to taste typical dishes and desserts from the island's festivals in the streets of the historic center.
Third day - Bosa
For those who like to go a little further, a two-hour drive from Alghero, Santu Lussurgiu is another of the towns that celebrates the Easter triduum with particular devotion, again by the Confraternities.
One of the most beautiful villages in Italy
Before lunch, move towards Bosa and savor the delicacies of Sardinia by taking a break in a shop or pastry shop in the village and eating local fish-based dishes accompanied by an excellent Malvasia in a small restaurant in the center.
